Saturday April 2 - Knife Show Forging Demo @ Rockingham County Fairgrounds

Rudy Dean will be doing a knife blade forging demonstration during the knife show on Saturday April 2.  The location is at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds.  The demonstration times are at 11am and 1pm.

 Any guild members who wish to do some forging are welcome to do so, but please contact Rudy ahead of time so that he can put you on the list.  He will have a forge and anvil set up under an awning for the day and will bring an ample supply of spikes and such to pound on.

February 27th  - Dan Boone’s Pasture Party

 

Happy 2016 one and all!!!
The holidays are behind us, and it looks like many of you survived them as folks are asking if there is going to be a Pasture Party this year.... the answer is YES!  Important information follows:


DATE AND TIME:   February *27, 2015*, 9:00AM - 4:00PM.... There seems to
have been some confusion about the date this year, but as always it's the
LAST Sat in Feb!

REQUIREMENTS:      Come prepared to have a good time!  Bring something for
Iron in the Hat and be prepared to buy tickets.... this is how we pay for
the day without charging you an arm and a leg.... so PLEASE do your part.

DETAILS:                This year we have multiple featured demonstrators:

 There will be craft programs for spouses and kids. There will be LOTS

of tailgating, you are welcome to participate.

FOOD:                    Lunch will be provided, as always.... you pay for
it with the Iron in the Hat!

LODGING:                If you need a place to stay, rooms have been
reserved Friday and Saturday nights (2/26 & 27) for "*Blacksmith Pasture
Party"*  at - Best Western Inn & Suites, 135 Wood
Ridge Terrace  Zions Crossroads (used to be
Gordonsville), VA
